<B>Weapon Painting

Updated 20 Jan 2015<B>

First posted OCT 2003.

Since the first posting of this numerous advances in weapon camouflage and decoration have occurred, from Cerakoting, to more robust weapon specific paints. However the basics have not changed, masking, color blending, finalizing etc. Hence we will keep this here, but OPT also recommends that anyone doing this do some research on their options and the alternatives that exist such as dipping and custom camo services available.

This is a step by step guide to painting your weapons. This can be tailored to the environment you are in and is only a GUIDELINE, if you have better ideas, by all means use them.

OPT is posting this for informational purposes only, we are not a dealer of Springfield Armory, Sig Sauer, Harris Bipods, Hunter Specialties, or Krylon.

please do not inquire about purchasing any of the equipment in this section.
